Evolution Letters aims to publish the best new research in evolutionary biology. Here are just a few reasons why you should submit your next paper to us:

Flexible formatting

Our journal’s formatting style is not required until your manuscript has been accepted. If your paper has been rejected from another journal, you can send it to us as it is, along with the reviewer comments, for a rapid editorial decision.

Rapid turn-around

We currently average 25 days from submission to first decision, so your manuscript will be reviewed very quickly.

Open access discounts

We are proud to be 100% open access and our article processing charges are cheaper than most other open access journals. Plus there are big discounts for ESEB and SSE members!

Open data

Articles accepted for publication by Evolution Letters will also be indexed in Dryad, making it easier for your data to be searched and cited.

Gender equality

Our gender-balanced editorial board demonstrates our commitment to promoting women in science.

Supporting the evolutionary biology community

We are jointly owned by societies ESEB and SSE, so our profits go back into the evolutionary biology community.
